Bed and Breakfast
The Green Stateroom – Deluxe Room, Main Floor (Sleeps 2). This ground-floor room is calm and elegant, featuring a queen bed and private en-suite bath. It’s decorated in soothing sage and emerald tones with beautiful antique furnishings and historic photographs on the walls. Like our Pink room, the Green Stateroom has an old-fashioned Southern ambiance – you might imagine yourself in a gentler time as you relax under the ceiling fan’s lazy breeze. It’s equipped with a private bath (shower), fine linens, and blackout curtains for a great night’s sleep.
The Pink Stateroom – Deluxe Room, Main Floor (Sleeps 2). A favorite for couples, this ground-floor room is bright and charming, decorated in a rosy-hued theme with period antiques. It offers a queen-size bed with a plush quilt, a private bathroom (with a classic claw-foot tub/shower combination), an ornamental fireplace mantel, and elegant 19th-century artwork. The tall windows and 12-foot ceilings create an airy feel. The Pink Stateroom gets its name from our riverboat theme – “stateroom” evokes the grand era of steamboat travel. It’s a quiet, romantic retreat with all the modern amenities you need
No matter which room you choose, you’ll enjoy hotel-quality comfort with a personal touch. All rooms include private bathrooms (no sharing!), free high-speed Wi-Fi, Roku, DVD's, Central Air, plush towels, and a few welcoming extras – think chocolates on your pillow or a bedside carafe of water. (Need something? Just ask – we likely have it on hand.)
The Serio Suite – Spacious Upstairs Suite (Sleeps up to 4). This is a large loft-style suite occupying the entire second floor, perfect for families or friends traveling together. It features a comfy queen bed plus additional bedding (can accommodate four guests), a private en-suite bathroom, and a cozy sitting area with sofa. The Serio Suite is named after the family that lived in this home – it’s filled with historic charm (sloped ceilings, vintage accents) yet provides plenty of space to stretch out. Ideal for longer stays or guests who want a bit more room.
To ensure every guest has a safe, relaxing stay, we have a few house policies to be aware of:
Check-In/Check-Out: Check-in is typically from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. If you anticipate arriving later in the evening, just let us know – we can accommodate late arrivals with advance notice. We’ll leave a key or be available to greet you, as you prefer. Check-out time is 11:00 AM on your departure day. Need a little extra time? If we don’t have an immediate turn-over, we’re usually flexible with late check-outs – just ask.
Children: We welcome children aged 12 and up. Our property is not ideal for younger children, both for safety (antique furnishings, staircases) and the quiet atmosphere our guests expect. Exceptions can sometimes be made for mature older children traveling with families – please call to discuss. We can recommend lovely inns in Natchez that are more suitable for young kids if needed.
Pets: We have two friendly resident dogs on the premises (our sweet Doxie named Stink and our Labrador Retriever named Tootsie – they’ll happily accept a pat on the head), but we have limited accommodations for guest pets. If you wish to bring a pet, you must call ahead for approval. Approved pets will incur a $50 pet fee. If we are unable to accommodate your pet, we are happy to refer you to local boarding kennels or pet-friendly lodging nearby. Service animals, of course, are permitted with prior notice.
Smoking: The Riverboat B&B is a 100% smoke-free environment. Please no smoking inside the house. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged for any smoking damage/odor in the rooms. The porch or backyard garden are the designated areas for smoking. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our historic home fresh and clean for all.
Accessibility: Due to the historic nature of our home, we apologize that we are not fully ADA-accessible. All guest rooms are on the ground floor except the upstairs suite which requires climbing one flight of stairs. There are five steps up to the front porch. If you have mobility concerns, please call – we will do our best to accommodate and can advise on suitability. Once inside, the main floor is on one level.
Quiet Hours: We ask that guests observe quiet hours in the house between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, simply out of respect for others. You’re welcome to come and go at any hour, but please keep noise to a minimum late at night. Our home has thick walls, but sound can travel in a quiet old house at night.
Alcohol Policy: We do not have a liquor license to sell alcohol, but guests are welcome to bring their own wine or beer to enjoy responsibly on the premises. Intoxication or loud, disruptive behavior is not acceptable (thankfully, never been an issue!).
Cancellation Policy: We understand that plans can change. Because we are a small inn, cancellations affect us greatly. Our policy is no charge for cancellations made more than 48 hours before your scheduled arrival. If you cancel within 48 hours of arrival (or no-show), one night’s stay may be charged to the card on file. For multi-room or multi-night bookings (3+ nights or whole-house rentals), we request one week’s notice for cancellation. We’re reasonable – if an emergency arises, we’ll work with you (we can often re-book the room). Just keep us informed.
House Access: You will have your own keys to come and go. We do not have a curfew. Feel free to enjoy Natchez’s nighttime charm! For security, the front door may be kept locked – your key will open it at any time. There is also a door code option if you prefer keyless entry; ask us at check-in.
Payment: Payment is due at check-in (we accept cards or cash). Mississippi state and local taxes (about 10% total) will be added to room rates. Gratuities are at your discretion.
If you have any questions about our policies or special requests, please call. We want to be as accommodating as possible while ensuring all guests have a delightful stay.
We offer three lovely guest accommodations, each with its own character and comforts. Choose the option that best fits your needs. Breakfast is served daily and includes farm fresh eggs, biscuits, muffins, snacks, juice and drinks. Please feel free to bring ingredients for your favorite breakfast and utilize our kitchen!
Nightly rates typically range from $125 – $180 for the Staterooms and around $200 – $250 for the Suite, depending on season and occupancy. Natchez’s popular Spring Pilgrimage and festival weekends can book up fast, so rates may be a bit higher then (and a two-night minimum may apply for special events). Call us at (601) 445-8217 for specific rates for your dates – we’re always happy to discuss options. Booking directly by phone ensures you get any special offers or discounts we can offer. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover) as well as cash. A credit card number is required to hold your reservation, but you won’t be charged until check-in. All stays include a full homemade breakfast each morning, free secure parking on our property, Wi-Fi, and daily housekeeping. There are no hidden fees – we don’t charge “resort fees” or parking fees. The rate plus tax is all you pay. Gratuities for housekeeping or your innkeeper are never expected but always appreciated if you feel so inclined.
